Taking place in Nuremberg, Germany, the world-famous Toy Fair – Spielwarenmesse – is a major event where the industry goes to kindle their ideas and imagination. In other words, it’s the perfect place for Gemar to showcase a future inspired by balloons. It’s an opportunity we took with both hands, especially after an absence of three long years – and it exceeded all expectations!

There might have been over 2,800 exhibitors from 70 countries, but Gemar certainly stood out with the show-stopping stand décor created by our team of master’s and by Chantel Lord from Balloon Occasions. The stand featured a stunning and bubbly floral decoration that brightened up the event space and the experience of visitors who stopped by to discover more about our balloons.

Among the highlights, we introduced our new range of 100% bio-based balloons made from renewable caoutchouc sourced from FSC^® certified plantations and the stunning silver and gold combination of Prosecco #085 a great addition to the popular shiny colour range. The star feature of the show was Gemar Creator, our new app, a valuable digital tool to create beautiful artwork and renderings with balloons in a wide range of designs – everything from arches and walls to large and colourful installations.

Global Brand Director Gloria Veta was at the show and was impressed with the vibe. “There’s a special buzz at Spielwarenmesse this year, we enjoyed a constant stream of visitors, more than we’d imagined wanting to know more about our work, our philosophy, and our products. Everyone left us with a smile, and a bag full of new balloons and inspiration. We look forward to seeing the results in the future.”

We may have been away 3 years, but we made up for lost time – and look forward to coming back in 2024.
