GemarDay: a journey through art, learning, and sharing

Gemar doesn’t just produce and sell balloons, it actively strives to build a community of professionals passionate about balloon art. The goal is to ensure that these professionals can fully embrace the art of balloons, staying updated on the latest trends and learning new techniques to create increasingly complex designs.

These activities are promoted during GemarDay, special events organized by Gemar in collaboration with local partners in various countries around the world. During these events, anyone interested in staying up-to-date and improving their skills in balloon art gathers together.

To better understand what GemarDay is and how it is organized, we interviewed Chiara Pagliaroli, who is responsible for organizing these events.

The wssence of GemarDay

The first question we asked Chiara was simple: What are GemarDay events? Her response perfectly summed up the philosophy that guides these events: “A GemarDay® is a celebration that reignites that childhood excitement for balloons by sharing best practices through innovative, on-trend balloon art.

This concept captures the essence of GemarDay: a celebration of the magic of balloons and a unique learning opportunity. During these days, participants not only watch professionals at work but also learn innovative techniques and take home valuable inspiration. In addition to being a moment for professional development, GemarDay is also an opportunity to share experiences, grow together, and create connections with other enthusiasts.

The complexity of organization

To ensure the success of GemarDay, organization is a crucial element. However, as Chiara explained to us, “time is always the biggest challenge.” An event of this magnitude requires the coordination of many different figures, from those working on the projects, to those managing logistics, to the actual production of the balloons.

The organization of a GemarDay is a team effort, and every part must work in perfect sync. However, it’s not always easy to align the schedules and needs of all parties involved, especially when dealing with those hosting the event. “Sometimes communication feels like a tug of war” Chiara explains, highlighting the difficulties that arise when chasing after different pieces of information to complete the preparations.

High standards of quality

Beyond coordination, one of the key aspects for Gemar is quality. “What matters to us is that participants are happy and satisfied with the day” Chiara emphasizes. The success of a GemarDay is not only measured by the positive experience of the participants but also by the ability to transfer concrete knowledge that can be applied in their daily work. This goal is achieved through the careful selection of internationally renowned artists and constant attention to market trends and emerging techniques.

The relationship with local partners

The organization of an event like GemarDay cannot succeed without collaboration with local partners. Communication with these partners is not always straightforward, but it remains a fundamental pillar of the organizational process. Gemar doesn’t limit itself to using formal tools like email or digital platforms: “We exchange SMS, and if necessary, we even use carrier pigeons” jokes Chiara. This joke underscores the importance of flexibility and constant availability, which are essential elements for ensuring the success of every GemarDay.

An experience combining learning and fun

Attending a GemarDay doesn’t just mean learning new techniques; it also means having fun and sharing your passion with other professionals. “You learn while having fun” says Chiara. Each event is designed to help participants grow through the presence of expert instructors, but also by engaging with colleagues who share the same love for the art of balloons. The fun and happiness of the participants is evident in the feedback they provide. “What always stands out to us is the warm welcome and kindness we receive” Chiara shares. Every GemarDay leaves an indelible mark, not only for the beauty of the creations made but especially for the positive energy felt throughout the day.

The future of GemarDay

Looking ahead, Gemar has one main goal: to continue spreading the magic of balloons and the art of their creation. “We want to give everyone the chance to learn from the best and explore the infinite possibilities that a balloon can offer” concludes Chiara. GemarDay will continue to represent an unmissable opportunity for anyone looking to grow professionally and be inspired by the beauty of balloon art.
