As World Environment Day approaches, we at Gemar are proud to reaffirm our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. This year, our focus is on the significant strides we’ve made in our journey towards a greener future, highlighted by our FSC® certification and our impactful partnership with Treedom.

100% FSC®-Certified Balloons: A Step Towards Sustainable Celebration

We are thrilled to introduce our new range of 100% FSC®-certified Gemar balloons (FSC™ C155424). This certification ensures that the materials used in our balloons come entirely from FSC®-certified forests, which are managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers.

Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond just the balloons themselves. We have also designed our packaging to be recyclable or reusable, significantly reducing waste. Unlike standard balloon packaging, our zip bags can be kept, reused, and refilled, embodying the principle that sometimes the little things can make a big difference.

Partnering with Treedom: Planting Trees for a Greener Tomorrow

In line with our dedication to sustainability, we have partnered with Treedom, an organization devoted to planting trees and promoting sustainable agriculture. Through this collaboration, we have planted 300 trees in agricultural lands, ensuring better food security for farmers and their families while combating climate change.

Trees play a crucial role in absorbing CO₂, providing habitats for wildlife, and maintaining ecological balance. By supporting Treedom, we are taking proactive steps to offset our carbon emissions and invest in the future of our planet and its communities.

Did you know that Gemar’s balloon manufacturing process utilizes more than 90% renewable materials?

It’s true! At Gemar, sustainability isn’t just a goal, it’s ingrained in every step of our manufacturing process.

A renewable material is one made from natural resources that can be quickly replenished after usage. Our commitment to sustainability begins with sourcing materials that are gentle on the planet and can be renewed without causing long-term harm.

Gemar responsibly follows the UN Global Compact’s principles and actively supports the Sustainable Development Goals. By aligning our practices with global sustainability initiatives, we ensure that every balloon we produce leaves a minimal environmental footprint.

But what exactly goes into making Gemar balloons eco-friendly? Let’s take a closer look:

  1. Natural Rubber Latex:

Our balloons are crafted from caoutchouc, a natural rubber latex extracted from Hevea Brasiliensis trees, also known as the rubber tree. This renewable resource is harvested sustainably, ensuring minimal impact on the environment.

  1. Carbon Footprint Reduction:

Hevea Brasiliensis trees are considered broadleaf trees and are one of the most effective species in reducing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. By using natural rubber latex from these trees, Gemar not only produces biodegradable balloons but also contributes to carbon capture and reduction.

  1. Sustainable Practices:

Gemar is committed to minimizing waste and energy consumption throughout the manufacturing process. From responsible sourcing of materials to efficient production methods, we strive to make every aspect of our operations as environmentally friendly as possible.

By choosing Gemar balloons, you’re not just celebrating, you’re making a conscious choice to support sustainable practices and protect the planet for future generations.

Join us in our mission to lead the way in sustainable balloon manufacturing.

Stay tuned for more updates on Gemar’s sustainability initiatives as we continue to innovate and inspire positive change in the industry.

Together, let’s soar to new heights of sustainability with Gemar!
