Gemar, sponsor at the XXIV Moscow Balloon Festival, celebrating creativity and artistry.

From September 23 to 27, 2024, the 24th Moscow International Balloon Festival took place, marking the largest industry event for international balloon artists coming from Russia, Germany, Belarus, Estonia and an incredible spectacle for guests and online viewers worldwide. During the festival, hundreds of thousands of balloons filled the pavilion, which spanned over 25,000 square meters.

A total of 27 teams participated, with hopes of breaking the previous year’s record. The festival attracted not only professionals but also many Muscovites, and visitors from India and China. The Expocenter hall buzzed with energy, as attendees sought vivid experiences and vibrant content for their social media. Spectators were often amazed to discover that all the compositions were crafted from “ordinary balloons,” creating a creative atmosphere filled with music and smiles.

The main competition theme, “Treasures of Russia,” inspired teams of participants to bring various ideas to life. Moscow and regional balloon artists depicted the treasures of the country through their creations, while international teams used metaphors to represent these treasures. The excitement surrounding the festival was palpable.

Gemar was a proud sponsor of the event, with eight teams sponsored:Golden Hands, Strange People, Premium Shar, Balloon Planet, Vozdushnaya Academy, Pirate Version, Shamanki, and Dragonfly. These teams utilized approximately 200,000 Gemar balloons in their stunning displays. GranPrix went to Balloon Planet team! Among the participants, Gemar Ambassadors Irina Gvodzenko and Irina Lobanova shone brightly in the League of Masters category, receiving, like Alexander Solomatin last year, a special award from the Europe uno trade company: two diamonds.

The festival showcased balloons from major global brands, with new releases specifically prepared for the event. It also featured a series of masterclasses by world-class balloon artists, as our Gemar Ambassadors Alexander Solomatin, Irina Gvodzenko and Irina Lobanova, a balloon fashion show, a conference for party supply store owners, and an exhibition of balloons and equipment.

The highlight of the festival was the Championship in Professional Balloon Art, where teams competed in six categories: Large Sculpture, Balloon Costume, Balloon Bouquet Delivery, Pandora Box, 12 Minutes, and Garland Speed.

Overall, the 2024 Moscow Balloon Festival was a resounding success, celebrating creativity and the artistry of balloon design.
