November “Air Meeting” with Irina Lobanova

A Festive Feel

Irina Lobanova’s monthly Air Meetings are always a treat and November was no exception. The students worked together on three beautiful sculptures. Of course they learnt new balloon art skills but they also developed the art of creating an atmosphere, something that goes beyond twisting and shaping balloons. Combining backdrops, clothing, makeup and more produces a stunning end result!

November’s work demonstrated the importance of colour. The sculptures had a distinctly festive tone, making use of the traditional red, gold and green colourway, yet the same pieces made using a different palette could have a totally different feel. As ever, the team enjoyed getting dressed up, perfecting their makeup and being photographed with the results of their hard work.
