We love collaborating with the best in the business and this year’s Spring Fair gave us the opportunity to do exactly that. We invited Liz Milligan, Claire Carney and Fiona Eagle from NABAS to join us on our stand, running demonstrations and “ask the expert” sessions. We were thrilled to open the latest issue of the NABAS magazine and see a write up by Liz, it seems she enjoyed the collaboration as much as we did!

NABAS is a UK based organisation, the National Association of Balloon Artists and Suppliers. Celebrating their 35^th anniversary this year, they are the only member-owned Trade Association for the party and events industry. Not only that, every commitee member has experience working in the industry. This puts them in a unique position to offer balloon artists, and other related professionals, exactly the support and services that they really need.

NABAS share many of Gemar’s core principles – from spreading joy by raising awareness of balloons, through to educating the public on environmental issues and sustainable options. In fact, Liz said herself that “the Gemar and NABAS partnership worked well as both regard their employees, volunteers and associates as family and a community, for whom they want to do their best”.

Of course, she is absolutely right! The Gemar family is very important to us. We are not just here to sell balloons, we also want to support the balloon community, to see a passion for our unique artform grow and to spread a love of balloons far and wide.

As one of the largest latex balloon manufacturers in the world we can do a lot, but we can’t do everything. It’s only when we work together that the true possibilities become clear. We loved having the NABAS instructors with us, the support they give to the UK balloon community is wonderful to see and Liz, Fiona and Claire are true artists and professionals. We hope that we can work together again, after all we are stronger together.
