ToyFair – Nuremberg 2020
We have been eagerly anticipating the 2020 ToyFair for months. As the biggest industry fair around it is always the place to be and every year we look forward to the joyful atmosphere, the chance to catch up with so many of our partners, and the opportunity to introduce balloon art to a new audience. This year the Gemar® stand was certainly eye catching, festooned as you would expect in colourful balloons and drawing an enthusiastic crowd.
This was the perfect opportunity to debut our newest balloon, a beautiful addition to the shiny range. The Rose Gold balloons were completed just days before the fair and took pride of place at the front of the Gemar® stand, glowing with a warmth that could melt any heart.
One of our favourite things about the annual ToyFair is the opportunity we have to share the wonderful world of balloon sculpture with a wide range of people. This year our Masters & Ambassador had no fewer than six appearances on the Showtime stage, where they entertained and educated their audiences in equal measure. Roberta created delicate and sophisticated fantasy flowers and Christian demonstrated an under the sea themed centerpiece complete with cheeky jellyfish. On Saturday Gergo reminded over 300 viewers live on Instagram that summer was just around the corner, as he created mouthwatering balloon ice creams and sweets.
We often refer to our partners and team as our “Gemar family” and as so many had gathered for the ToyFair we couldn’t resist holding a family dinner. Gemar® Partners and other team members attended from all corners of the globe, making a large and international party. It was an evening to remember as everyone enjoyed good food and good company, and with four birthdays to celebrate we also enjoyed a lot of very good cake!
Sadly, all good things must come to an end and after four wonderful days it was time to pack up our balloons and head home. The memories we made will bring smiles to our faces for many weeks to come, as we hope they will for our friends, old and new. We’ll certainly be looking forward to lifting the moment in Nuremberg again next year!
